Rep. Goodwin Recognizes First Responder of the Year
MADISON, Wis.– Today, State Representative Russell Goodwin (D-Milwaukee) recognized Assistant Chief Joshua Parish as the First Responder of the Year for the 12th Assembly District. He made the following statement on this momentous occasion:
Assistant Chief Joshua Parish has served with the City of Milwaukee Fire Department for 13 years. His receipt of the award is more than a recognition of professional excellence—it is a celebration of Black excellence. His work reminds us of the power of representation, resilience, and purpose-driven leadership in shaping safer, stronger communities. I am proud to honor him, and even prouder to stand with him.
May this award act as one small way to express our gratitude to a man who has gone above and beyond in his service.”
