Community invited to help decorate huge Bronzeville wood letters as part of Bronzeville Week art project
The towering wood letters that spell out BRONZEVILLE are in place along W. North Ave. (near N. 5th St.), and the public will once again have the chance to decorate them during the Bronzeville Cultural & Arts Festival taking place on Sunday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs said today.
The art project is sponsored by the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Every year we have an overwhelming amount of support for the Bronzeville letters, and I am pleased that they are once again overlooking the intersection of 5th and North,” Alderwoman Coggs said. “I invite residents and families to participate in this community art project next weekend, and no previous art experience is required.”
The 12th annual Bronzeville Week will run from August 5 – 12. To view the full schedule of events, please visit Milwaukee.gov/Bronzeville.
