Racine Native and National Security Expert Roger Polack Wins Democratic Primary in WI-01
Intelligence Official Polack Served Multiple Tours in Afghanistan Shutting Down Terrorist Financing Networks
RACINE, WI — Roger Polack, a Racine native, and national security expert, won a resounding victory last night in the Democratic Primary in Wisconsin’s 1st District.
“I want to thank the volunteers and supporters who worked tirelessly to secure this grassroots victory,” said Polack. “I also want to congratulate Josh Pade on running a strong campaign. I look forward to working with Josh and his supporters to win in November.”
“Voters have a clear choice this Fall: a candidate in me who grew up in a family that struggled to make ends meet and will fight for the people of Southeastern Wisconsin, or Bryan Steil, who time after time has prioritized corporations over the needs of his constituents. I’ll never take a dime of corporate PAC money because I’m going to represent the people of Wisconsin’s 1st District, not corporate special interests. Meanwhile, Congressman Bryan Steil has taken over half a million dollars from corporate PACs––and he’s in Washington working for them––not for us.”
“I’m going to bring the same tenacity to Congress to serve the people of Southeastern Wisconsin that I did protecting our country throughout my decade of service. Together, we are going to continue building a grassroots campaign that will win in November.”
About Roger Polack
Roger Polack grew up in Racine, one of four children in a blue-collar family. After graduating from Horlick High School, he put himself through UW-Madison and ultimately law school at Georgetown University, studying law at night while working on some of the most pressing national security issues our country faces during the day. He served in the Bush and Obama administrations as a civilian intelligence analyst and then a senior policy advisor. Polack deployed to Afghanistan multiple times to take on the Taliban, shut down their financing pipeline, and expose corruption in Afghanistan. He also worked to hold China’s feet to the fire on investment and national security issues and to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Prior to running for Congress, he served as an attorney focusing on public international law and investigations. He’s running for Congress because he wants to continue serving our country and ensure that every family, just like his own, has the opportunity to build a better life for themselves.
