Betty Brinn Children’s Museum Announces New Board Member

Dionne Grayson joins the Museum’s Board of Directors.

MILWAUKEE, WI – (July 23, 2020) — The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum has announced the appointment of Dionne Grayson to their Board of Directors. A Milwaukee native, Grayson is the Principal Consultant of Building Your Dream, LLC, with more than 25 years of youth leadership and career development experience. She has worked to help strengthen the organizational and program capacity of many Milwaukee institutions, including Lead2Change, The Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, Marquette University, and L.I.S.C. Milwaukee.

“We are delighted to welcome Dionne Grayson on to the Museum’s Board of Directors,” said Brian King, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum’s executive director. “Dionne is committed to cultivating leadership and development within organizations that benefit the Milwaukee community and we are fortunate to have her guidance and support or our educational mission.”

“I am thrilled to serve on the board of directors at such a pivotal time in the organization’s history,” said Dionne Grayson. “I also look forward to working alongside the many talented board members and an innovative leader, Brian King.”

The Museum’s 23-member board, along with the Museum’s Executive Director Brian King, provides leadership for the organization’s strategic planning, financial oversight and fundraising in support of its educational mission. Greg Nickerson, chairman of Bader Rutter, is the current board president.

About Betty Brinn Children’s Museum

The mission of Betty Brinn Children’s Museum (BBCM) is to inspire all children to wonder and explore their world through play and innovative, hands-on learning experiences. The Museum opened in 1995 and serves almost 200,000 visitors each year at its downtown Milwaukee location, which is temporarily closed. BBCM is dedicated to ensuring that all families have access to its interactive educational exhibits and programs designed to promote the social, emotional and intellectual growth of children from birth through age 10.
