Milwaukee’s First Ever Maker Faire

From tailoring to 3D printing, blacksmithing to robotics, there was a little bit of something for everybody at Milwaukee’s first-ever Maker Faire.

Make Magazine’s event was held at the Wisconsin State Fair Park this past weekend, on September 27^th and 28^th. With its slogan, “Inspiring Makers, Inspiring Minds,” the event was, well, inspiring. Makers young and old came together, side-by-side, to practice crafts both ancient and futuristic. In addition to a packed Expo Center, the Faire also featured a FIRST Robotics Competition featuring human-sized robots designed and built by high school students, a Power Racing Series exhibition race with electric go-karts, and a massive, 25-ton, life-size version of the classic board game Mousetrap.
