Where To Watch The Brewers Without Breaking The Bank
From Deer District to a West Allis beer garden, Milwaukee-area businesses are hosting free watch parties.
You don’t need to spend four figures to watch the Milwaukee Brewers play in the World Series with thousands of your closest friends.
Tickets for the first two games at American Family Field are commanding astronomical prices on the resale market, with even the cheapest seats costing more than $2,000.
But there is a much cheaper way to experience the excitement of the Brewers’ first World Series appearance in 44 years.
More Milwaukee-area businesses and entertainment districts are hosting free watch parties, many with giant outdoor screens, food and drink specials and plenty of fellow fans.
The Brewers will host the Tampa Bay Rays for Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 23, and Game 2 on Saturday, Oct. 24. Both games begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on Fox.
The series then shifts to Tampa Bay for Games 3 and 4 on Monday, Oct. 26, and Tuesday, Oct. 27, also at 7 p.m.
The Brewers are even hosting watch parties at American Family Field for those road games, but tickets to watch the stadium’s giant scoreboard sold out in less than 30 minutes. Resale tickets are already commanding substantially more than their original $15 price.
Fortunately, there are plenty of places where admission remains free.
Here’s a selection of Milwaukee-area watch parties:
And don’t forget to get your free Miller Lite on Friday.
