Santa Cycle Rampage 2018
How many Santas can you fit into one brewery? A hell of a lot.
Santa Claus look-alikes once again took to the streets and taverns of Milwaukee for the Wisconsin Bike Federation’s annual Santa Cycle Rampage.
The ride attracted an estimated 2,500 bikers last year, according to the Federation.
The ride started from Cranky Al’s at N. 69th St. and W. North Ave. and ended about five miles away at Lakefront Brewery at 1872 N. Commerce St. Despite the rain, nearly every inch of the brewery was packed with Santas.
The ride began over a decade ago to encourage more people to ride in the winter and spend money at local businesses, according to the federation. This year, a number of bars and taverns around the Milwaukee area volunteered to be official Santa Gathering Places, including Belair Cantina, both Cafe Hollander locations, Great Lakes Distillery, Nomad World Pub and more.
