Summer Soulstice A Crowd Pleaser

Milwaukee citizens gathered for the 17th annual Summer Soulstice Music Festival in the East Side. And no, that’s not a typo, this was a solstice celebration with soul.

The stretch of E. North Ave. between N. Oakland Ave. and N. Prospect Ave. was packed with art and food vendors. Division BMX made an appearance to show off their high-flying skills as they launched from a ramp and balanced on bikes. Rage in the Cage Dodgeball and Adventure Rock climbing allowed people active ways to spend their time. And let’s not forget the music, with bands including the Shorewood-based School of Rock teaching young students the ins and outs of being a rock star. All good fun.
