Doors Open Milwaukee was held September 21 and 22, as summer changed to fall. The perfect weather brought thousands of Milwaukeeans and those from outside the city in to explore downtown and the Greater Milwaukee Area. Historic buildings, theaters, restaurants and more were available for tours, some self-guided and some were in depth. TCD visited a few buildings including the Jody Peck Center, home of the Milwaukee Ballet, the Mackie Building, showcasing the Grain Exchange event room, and the Gas Light Building which opened their 17th floor observation desk to the public.

Thanks for these photos! I went to a few places (notably The Avrum Chudnow Museum Of Yesteryear), and everywhere people were exclaiming about how they loved walking and seeing Milwaukee’s wonderful historic places!
