Milwaukee Streetcar Map

By - Mar 21st, 2009 10:45 am

We’ve unveiled a Google Maps implmentation of Mayor’s Tom Barrett’s proposed streetcar system for downtown Milwaukee.  Take a look yourself, we think it’s a little more exciting than a PDF.

The route is likely to change as the planning process continues, and we’ll track those changes on our map.

This will be a colossal failure!! Yet another misguided liberal idea with good intentions that will be a huge disaster. Every time I travel I realize how this city is constantly being held back by the socialists that run this town.

I’m so excited about this! When will it be? Streetcars are the way of the future and Milwaukee is very smart to get them! This is the solution to the environment and better availability of public transportation. I just love streetcars!

  3. Dave Reid says:

@Maria D With some luck they could start operations in 2014.

  4. I like this streetcar section but I wish you would include the most delightful streetcar (tram) system from Freiburg im Breisgau (in Germany), where I used to live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obKD-NJy0×8
    Enjoy

Corrina, you couldn’t be more clueless. If you knew anything at all about Milwaukee, you’d know that the only times Milwaukee ever got anything right was when it went socialist. We were once the healthiest city in America because of socialist health care systems we used to employ (mobile nursing units, mandatory vaccinations, community centers, etc). We also had the best infrastructure before we let the Democrats and Republicans ruin the city. They weren’t called “sewer socialists” for nothing. It was also the Socialist Party that set up Milwaukee’s 2010 Gold Medal award winning park management system that is currently the best in the nation. How on Earth is that bad?

Only 4 of the largest 61 cities in America don’t have light rail, a metro, a BRT, or a streetcar. Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Tampa, and Milwaukee. Do you honestly think we belong in “their” league, instead of Boston, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and Chicago? Quit being cheap with our kids future.
