2015 Pride Parade
The Pride Parade was once again the place to be in early June.
A key part of what has come to be known as Milwaukee’s Pride Weekend, the Pride Parade is a unique event in Milwaukee. “You could call it America’s Straightest Parade, based on its route, which happens to be due north on S. 2nd St.,” Michael Horne has written. “The parade kicks off at the Allen Bradley Clock Tower and barrels its way up old Reed Street until it dismantles itself at the corner of W. Freshwater Way. There is not a single bend or twist on the route, but don’t worry, you’ll see plenty of bending and twisting on the part of the hundreds of participants, which usually includes a scattering of politicians…That the parade is held on a neighborhood street, rather than at the festival grounds, is significant in itself. It emphasizes the community aspect of gay life — of all life.”
Our photos capture all the pageantry and people.

Now they get their own parade? Great. What’s next? They’ll want to get married too, just you wait.
I notice that with 9 pages of pictures, not a single one of them shows Log Cabin Republicans in them. Biased much?
@Devin Good point, I didn’t even know they were in the parade. Looking through all the pics I took (not just what I posted) I have one but you can’t even tell its them (compared it to what they posted on facebook) as I was out of position and it’s through a crowd. Must have been grabbing a PBR er something.. Will keep it in mind for the future.
