Wisconsin Democrats Remember Jonathan Brostoff and Terry Witkowski
MADISON, Wis. — Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler released the following statement following news of the passing of Milwaukee Common Council Member and former Wisconsin State Assemblyman Jonathan Brostoff and former Milwaukee Alderman Terry Witkowski:
“The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is devastated to learn of the passing of Jonathan Brostoff and Terry Witkoswki, who made Milwaukee and our state better for their commitment to it.
“Jonathan Brostoff was a dedicated public servant who committed his life to his family and to Milwaukee. He led with his values and his kindness first, was beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing him and working alongside him. Wisconsin will not soon forget the mark he left on our state. We extend our deepest condolences to Jonathan’s family, friends, and colleagues during this time.
“Terry Witkowski will live on in the Garden District and in the heart of Milwaukee for ages to come. Terry spent his life serving Milwaukee as the leader of the Milwaukee Safety Commission and on the Common Council, and he led a life that other public servants can only hope to emulate. Our thoughts are with Terry’s family and friends today.”
