WI WFP Sweeps Primaries
WI Progressive Candidates Announce Victory
WISCONSIN — Following the victories of WFP candidates across the state, Wisconsin Working Families Party 2020 Elections Lead Aaron Shapiro issued the following statement:
“Despite a global health crisis and an onslaught of cruel voter suppression tactics from the radical right, voters made sure to keep the power in the people’s hands by electing progressive champions in Wisconsin. Kristina Shelton, Marisabel Cabrera, Supreme Moore Omokunde, and Israel Ramón won because they know that difficult times call for transformative solutions — Medicare for All, housing as a human right, transforming the criminal justice system and so much more. We’re proud to support Kristina, Marisabel, Supreme, and Israel on the campaign trail, and we look forward to supporting these Working Families Party champions all the way to November.”
WI WFP activists and volunteers turned up in force to support endorsed candidates, sending over 50,000 texts and phone calls to voters across the state.
“WI WFP is a great voice for working class families in our state.” said Supreme Moore Omokunde. “They played an important role in our victory tonight and I look forward to their continued support in November.”
