Weather and Math Days Return to American Family Field
MILWAUKEE – Calling all educators! The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that ticket packages are now available for the ever-popular Weather Day – Wednesday, April 17, and Math Day – Wednesday, May 15, at American Family Field, two dates that are eagerly anticipated by classrooms around the state. Both education days welcome students to the ballpark and include unique curriculum experiences. Ticket packages begin at $12 per person and include a hot dog and water.
The 6th annual Brewers Math Day on Wednesday, May 15, presented by University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, leverages the use of statistics in baseball to teach students. Teachers will receive a copy of the Brewers Math Day workbook in advance to incorporate into their lesson plans leading up to the event. On game day, students will put their math skills to the test while using statistics from the Brewers contest against the Pittsburgh Pirates at 12:10 p.m. There are three workbook options available for schools to choose from: Grades 3-5; Grades 6-8; and Grades 9-12.
