MILWAUKEE (October 21, 2024) Visit Milwaukee is thrilled to announce the release of its latest collaboration video featuring Milwaukee Bucks fan favorite and sixth man, Bobby Portis Jr. In this exciting new video, Portis takes viewers on an exclusive tour of the newly expanded Baird Center, highlighting its state-of-the-art facilities and unparalleled offerings for meeting planners and leisure visitors alike.

As one of Milwaukee’s most prominent personalities and a champion for the city, Bobby Portis Jr. brings his signature enthusiasm and home-court pride to the project, sharing the excitement of the expanded Baird Center and showcasing its versatility as a premier destination for conferences, conventions, and events.

Baird Center, which has recently completed a $456 million expansion, now offers 1.3 million total square feet of space, 52 state-of-the-art breakout rooms, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable features that will elevate Milwaukee as a top choice for large-scale events. The video tour captures the stunning new spaces, including modern ballroom, flexible meeting rooms, green building practices designed to reduce the center’s environmental footprint, and breathtaking views of the city skyline.

“We are thrilled to have Bobby Portis Jr. help us showcase the incredible new features of Baird Center,” said Josh Albrecht, chief marketing officer at Visit Milwaukee. “This collaboration is a fantastic way to shine a spotlight on how Milwaukee has grown as a premier meetings and leisure destination. The passion for the project and for Milwaukee that Bobby brings are exactly what we want planners and visitors to experience when they come to our city.”

The video will be promoted through a variety of channels, including newsletter marketing to meeting planners and leisure audiences; social media campaigns targeting event organizers, business leaders, and leisure travelers; and at trade shows across the country.

The Baird Center expansion, paired with Milwaukee’s vibrant culture, thriving restaurant scene, and walkable downtown, helps position the city as an ideal destination for both large-scale meetings, conventions and sports events.

Visit Milwaukee invites meeting planners and visitors to watch the video, share it on social, and explore all that the Greater Milwaukee area has to offer. This is the second year Visit Milwaukee has partnered with Portis Jr., who previously showcased the city to leisure and meetings audiences through this engaging video series, tradeshow appearances, and more.
