UWM School of Architecture & Urban Planning brings Mobile Design Box popup to Farwell Ave.
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture & Urban Planning is preparing to launch its newest Mobile Design Box popup on the city’s East Side on Farwell Ave. The new exhibition entitled “Gentle Giants,” will open in a vacant storefront at 2216 N. Farwell Ave. on Wednesday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Alderperson Jonathan Brostoff, who advocated to bring this project to Farwell Ave., encourages the public to stop by and view the work of these UWM students. “The Mobile Design Box program is a great example of a partnership that checks all the boxes including activating vacant storefronts, working to solve neighborhood issues, and connecting students to tangible projects that impact the community. I want to thank all the partners involved, including the East Side BID, and I hope area residents and those across the city stop by to view this popup that launches Wednesday,” said Alderperson Brostoff.
