UWM offering grants and transfer support to Cardinal Stritch students
MILWAUKEE _ UWM announced grants and dedicated transfer support for Cardinal Stritch University students who want to enroll in 2023. Located less than 6 miles from the Stritch campus, UWM welcomes Stritch students to apply for free and benefit from a streamlined admissions process. Undergraduate and graduate students can get started immediately at uwm.edu/apply.
“We want Stritch students to know that we’re here for you,” said UWM Chancellor Mark Mone. “We are saddened by Stritch’s pending closure and understand students are worried about what’s next. UWM has the programs to help Stritch students complete their degrees, and we know that our diverse, engaged campus will welcome them.”
UWM offers Stritch students who enroll in the Summer or Fall 2023 terms the following guarantees:
- A $1,000 transition grant if they apply by June 1
- Dedicated admissions advisors
- A streamlined application review and decision process.
“We know nothing can truly replace what Stritch has meant to so many students, but UWM is ready to help students start the next chapter in their academic story,” said Kay Eilers, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management. “Our dedicated admissions advisors will guide students toward the best program to complete their degrees. And our graduate, nursing, business, education and arts programs are particularly well positioned to help Stritch students transfer seamlessly.”
UWM provides continual, diverse and broad-based support for students. This includes our multicultural centers, academic tutoring centers and resource centers, such as those dedicated to veterans, women and LGBTQ students. We also count nine spiritual and religious communities among our nearly 300 student organizations, including Panther Catholic. It’s all part of UWM’s goal to provide every student with meaningful experiences that enhance their connection to our campus community.
