MILWAUKEE (Dec. 5, 2024) – This holiday season, UScellular is giving back to the Milwaukee community by donating $5,000 worth of sports equipment to Wisconsin Bike Fed to support its mission of cultivating, motivating and uniting residents, communities and businesses to move bicycling forward in Wisconsin.

This donation includes winter biking gear, custom handlebar gloves, bike computers and bike bags.

As part of UScellular’s “Gift of Connection” program, the donation to Wisconsin Bike Fed is one of 50 gifts to non-profits across the country. The company is helping organizations by providing needed supplies in gratitude for their dedication to building connection through art, music and sports in their local communities.

“We’re proud to provide Wisconsin Bike Fed with a donation of sports equipment as they continue to be a pillar of support for the Milwaukee community,” said Marlon Bailey, director of sales at UScellular in N. Illinois and Wisconsin. “Giving back is a part of UScellular’s commitment to connect people to what matters most, and we’re honored to give the gift of connection this holiday season.”

“Wisconsin Bike Fed is a statewide non-profit bicycle education, encouragement, and advocacy organization inspiring people of all kinds to ride more places, more often as we work together to make streets safer for vulnerable users of the road,” said Jake Newborn, assistant director at Wisconsin Bike Fed.

“This generous gift will directly benefit Bike Fed’s Milwaukee based teen programs. We requested food to feed participants, winter gear to outfit students for cold weather riding, materials to create high visibility clothing, and technology to support our efforts to share stories on social media,” added Alora Correa, Milwaukee High School program manager at Wisconsin Bike Fed.

UScellular is also inviting community members to participate in the Gift of Connection through a donation drive at select UScellular retail locations. Everyone is encouraged to donate new sports equipment, art supplies, or family board games that will be gifted to a local non-profit.
