Track & Field Competes at Dick Hendricks Invite Saturday

Golden Eagles stay in Milwaukee for Panther Tune-Up Next Saturday

RIPON, Wisconsin – Marquette University track & field competed at the Dick Hendricks Invite on Saturday.

“We had a very solid day at Ripon,” Bert Rogers said. “We had a bunch of PRs and both 4×200 Relays got into the top ten lists. We are really starting to hit our stride as a team.”

Marquette’s 4×200 women’s squad of Makena Coltoff, Jaiden Dornhaus, Isabelle Kissane and Natalia Lupa ran a 1:47.34 to finish first. It was the fourth fastest 4×200 relay in program history.

The Golden Eagles 4×200 men’s squad of Sam Cascella, Frankie McGeeJustin Juniel and K.T. Thomas ran a 1.31.55, the third fastest 4×200 in program history.

Makena Coltoff ran a 9.27 second 60h in the prelims for a new PR and finished third in the finals at 9.30 seconds.

William Waterstradt finished first in the 60h at 8.56 second and tied his PR of 8.36 seconds in the prelims.

Mia Nutile finished third in the mile at 5:25.59. Charlie Richardson finished third in the same event with a time of 4:28.58.

Isabelle Kissane set a new PR in the 400m at 1:01.68 to finish second.

Vanessa Henderson (2:27.33), Olivia Campbell (2:28.07) and Lindsey Andrae (2:35.34) all finished top-six in the 800m.

Charlie McCurdy finished first in the 800m with a PR of 1:55.67.

Norah O’Brian finished first in the 200m at 26.32 seconds, a new PR.

Frankie McGee finished third in the 200m at 22.82 seconds.

Maggie Jortberg set a new PR in the 3000m at 11:48.65 to finish third.

Marquette won both long jumps with PRs, including Maggie Olejnik (5.33m) and Philip Johnson (6.52m).

Maggie Olejnik finished first in the triple jump at 11.19m. John Pitta finished second in the same event at 13.38m and the high jump at 1.95m.

Josh Pirogovsky finished second in the shot put at 14.13m and set a PR in the weight throw at 14.06m.

Marquette went 1-2 in the weight throw with Megan White (16.48m) and Ally Broaddus (15.31m).

Pedro Castanon won the weight throw at 15.12m.

Sara Stout won the high jump at 1.55m.

Sophie Heriot finished third in the pole vault with a new PR of 3.50m.
