Milwaukee—The Westown Association would like to welcome children of all ages to enjoy Children’s Day at the Westown Farmer’s Market from 10 am to 1 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12th in Zeidler Union Square (on Michigan Street between 3rd and 4th Streets).  The Westown Farmer’s Market takes place from 10 am until 2 pm every Wednesday until October 28th.

Tomorrow’s Children’s Day includes entertainment by juggler and magician Gypsy Geoff, activities with Artists Working in Education, story time with the Milwaukee Public Library and a performance from Glencastle Irish Dancers. Supplies will be provided for the craft activities and finished projects can be taken home to enjoy! This is a free event with no reservations necessary.

Milwaukee Public Library will kick off the event at 10 am with storytime in the gazebo.  From 10:30-11:30 am, Artists Working in Education will have artists on hand providing craft and art activities for children.  At 11am, Gypsy Geoff will arrive to perform his unique act combining magic, puppets, juggling, clowning and mime. At noon the Glencastle Irish Dancers will perform.

While the kids are enjoying the fun activities planned for the day, parents and guardians can shop for local art, prepared foods and seasonal produce. When the kids are done with their activities, the whole family can enjoy lunch from one the market’s popular lunch vendors.  For a list of all vendors expected at this year’s market, please visit http://www.westown.org/childrens-day-at-the-farmers-market/
