MILWAUKEE, WI – The Sherman Phoenix is thrilled to announce registration is open for its inaugural event, The Retreat, taking place from November 1-3, 2024 at the Sheraton Brookfield. This immersive experience is designed to empower, educate and promote wellness within the BIPOC community. Milwaukee shines on the global stage as National Geographic’s newest “Destination of Choice,” while also earning accolades from Condé Nast as a top city for food enthusiasts, further cementing its reputation as a must-visit hub for cultural and culinary delights, which makes it the perfect city for travelers from near and far to attend this weekend expo and cultural experience.

“We are thrilled to help promote The Retreat, a must-attend event for those who echo County Executive David Crowley’s desire to take a holistic approach to improving health disparities in Milwaukee.   • Financial Wellness: Providing education and resources to improve financial literacy and economic empowerment.
  • Physical Wellness: Promoting health and fitness through various activities and educational programs.
  • Mental Wellness: Promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and providing resources for mental well-being.

In addition, The Retreat features:

  • The Marketplace: A platform for BIPOC-owned businesses to showcase and sell their products and services.
  • A Health, Wellness and Financial Expo: Featuring booths from local organizations focused on holistic wellness. Learn about their services, products and resources to support your mental, physical and financial well-being.

The Retreat will be a dynamic event with a main stage, expo, marketplace, breakout sessions, panels, and entertainment led by local and national influencers.
