Supervisor Steve F. Taylor, District 9, today visited Washington Park Senior Center to have lunch with some Milwaukee County seniors in his first of 29 visits to all the meal sites that Milwaukee County operates.
“I am committed to making sure that our seniors are getting the types of service they deserve from Milwaukee County, and, by visiting all of our meal sites, I will get a better handle of the amenities we provide our seniors,” said Supervisor Taylor.
Supervisor Taylor was appointed and unanimously confirmed to serve on the Milwaukee County Commission on Aging in June of this year.
“As a Commissioner on Aging, I feel it is my duty to get out and to talk to our seniors so I can learn about their needs first-hand,” explained Supervisor Taylor. “I am grateful that the Chair on the Commission on Aging, Vi Hawkins, joined me today at Washington Park for my first visit.”
The Commission on Aging is a governing and policy-making body within Milwaukee County’s Department on Aging, serving as the Commission’s administrative arm.
