MILWAUKEE – Yesterday, Supervisor Sequanna Taylor hosted Judge Milton Childs, Doyle Spencer, Vaun Mayes, Shannon Ross, Ed Hennings, Elijah Tucker and Pastor Neil Kelly for her latest Re-Entry Unblemished event. The event series intends to provide a clear direction forward for individuals who have had involvement with the justice system. County Supervisor Sequanna Taylor made the following statement:

“Yesterday’s Re-Entry Unblemished event was a great success, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of the community leaders and organizations who participated and brought invaluable knowledge and expertise to the event. As we work to create a more equitable and just society, it’s important to recognize the unique challenges faced by those who are reentering society after being incarcerated. The support and resources provided by these organizations are critical to ensuring that individuals have the tools and resources they need to succeed. We must continue to work together to break down barriers and create a more inclusive and supportive community for everyone,” said Supervisor Taylor. “Once again, thank you to all who participated in yesterday’s event. Your dedication and commitment to this important cause are greatly appreciated.”

The event was held at 2460 N. 6th St, the Northcott Neighborhood House, a multi-purpose community center which services the 53212 and surrounding zip code neighborhoods.

Several local organizations and governmental agencies participated in the event, including UW-Extension, The Community, Dynamic, Milwaukee Community Service Corps, Fatherhood Fire MKE, State of Wisconsin Department of Workplace Development, Milwaukee County Reintegration Center, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division, Milwaukee County Department of Human Resources, Milwaukee County Child Support Services, and the City of Milwaukee Health Department.
