Supervisor Haas Announces Big Donation for Humboldt Park
Funds Will Go Towards Park Improvements
Supervisor Jason Haas is excited to announce a $5,000 donation to the Humboldt Park Watch. That money, from a private donor, will be used in several projects to improve a crown jewel of the Bay View neighborhood.
“This donation is great for Humboldt Park and everyone who enjoys it,” Supervisor Haas said. “I’m thankful for the investment in our park and look forward to seeing the progress that happens because of it.”
Supervisor Haas worked with the donor and the Humboldt Park Watch to secure the donation, which will help upgrade the park moving forward.
“Humboldt Park Watch is very grateful for this generous donation,” Humboldt Park Watch President Tim Richter said. “This is a big step forward as we grow our organization and its mission to promote and enhance Humboldt Park.”
Humboldt Park is well-known for its award-winning “Chill on the Hill” concert series and is the proposed site for a brand new beer garden that would open this summer. Located in Bay View, Humboldt Park is frequently used by neighbors for special events and daily activities.
“We love to show off Humboldt Park to Milwaukee County every summer,” Supervisor Haas said, “but this donation will also go a long way for our neighbors who see and use the park every single day.”
