Supervisor Coggs-Jones, Community Organizations to Host 5th Annual MKE Harambee Clean-Up
MILWAUKEE – In honor of Earth Day, County Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones will team up with community organizations to host the 5th Annual MKE Harambee clean-up on Friday, April 22 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
“My passion for keeping the community clean and vibrant has been with me long before becoming an elected official,” said Supervisor Coggs-Jones. “When we walk around our neighborhoods, we see trash and litter all over the place which literally sucks the life out of our community. I would like to lead the change on beautifying our neighborhoods, but I cannot do that without your help.”
Volunteers will gather at Pete’s Fruit Market (2323 N. Dr. M.L.K. Jr Drive, Milwaukee, Wis, 53212). Interested individuals can email harambeecleanup@westcare.com, text CLEANUP to 414-250-8164 or call 414-262-4254 to register.
Supervisor Coggs-Jones, West Care, Riverworks Development Corp, Safe & Sound, Food for Health, Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful, Outback Steakhouse, District 6 Alderwoman Milele Coggs, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, 414 Life, Bader Philanthropies, Historic King Drive Business Improvement District, Northcott Neighborhood House and Colliers Training Institute are partnering to make this event possible.
