Supervisor Coggs-Jones Appointed to Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission
MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee County Supervisor Priscilla E. Coggs-Jones has been appointed to the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) by Governor Tony Evers at the recommendation of the Chairwoman of the Milwaukee County Board, Marcelia Nicholson. Supervisor Coggs-Jones made the following statement:
“I am honored to have been appointed to SEWRPC by Governor Tony Evers at the recommendation of Chairwoman Nicholson and am excited to work alongside other members of the commission to address the critical issues facing our region,” said Supervisor Coggs-Jones “I look forward to using my experience and expertise to contribute to the development of sustainable and equitable policies that will benefit our communities. This opportunity fuels my passion to continue to advocate for expanding public transportation. Having access to busses should be seen as a safety net for our residents, which helps to ensure Milwaukee County is a place where we can all thrive.”
Supervisor Coggs-Jones brings extensive experience and knowledge to the commission, having served as a Milwaukee County Supervisor since 2020. She is a respected leader in the community, with a strong track record of advocating for equitable policies and initiatives.
Supervisor Coggs-Jones will join Director of Transportation Donna Brown-Martin and Milwaukee County Corporation Counsel Margaret Daun to represent the contingent from Milwaukee County.
