Summerfest Reusable Cup Returns for 2025 Festival
MILWAUKEE (June 11, 2025) – Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance today announced the return of the reusable souvenir cup, available for purchase throughout the three weekends of the festival. The cup will sell for $5.00, and patrons will also receive $1.00 off refills of draft beer during Summerfest.
The reusable cup can be purchased and refilled at locations throughout Henry Maier Festival Park, home to Summerfest, at the following locations:
- Leinenkugel Bar near the UScellular Connection Stage
- Keg & Cask
- Miller Brewhouse
- Miller Sportszone Bar
- Lakefront Bar
- Various bars at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater
“The City of Milwaukee is pleased to see Summerfest again offering this opportunity to reduce plastic waste,” said Erick Shambarger, Director of Environmental Sustainability for the City of Milwaukee. “Purchasing a reusable cup is a great way to have fun and be environmentally responsible at the same time.”
Summerfest is furthering its commitment to sustainability by expanding green initiatives across Henry Maier Festival Park. In partnership with Waste Management, the festival is rolling out improved waste management procedures designed to increase landfill diversion rates. This year’s efforts include expanded recycling resources, and a greater number of waste receptacles placed around the grounds.
These upgrades build on progress made in 2024, which saw widespread use of recyclable and compostable food and beverage containers, as well as an increase in energy-efficient LED lighting. Festival organizers also encourage attendees to choose eco-friendly transportation options, such as biking or using public transit, when traveling to and from Summerfest.
