Summerfest Announces 2024 Festival Experiences, Activities, and Events
MILWAUKEE, WI (May 21, 2024) – Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance announced the lineup of experiences, activities, and events for this year’s festival. From captivating live performances on 12 stages at Summerfest to interactive experiences and activities each weekend, there’s something for every fan.
See below for the current list of experiences, activities, and events during Summerfest 2024:
Experiences:
- American Family Insurance House – located inside the Mid Gate, the American Family Insurance House is the most unique and intimate venue at Summerfest. Hosting exclusive shows from various festival headliners, the House is a must-see destination for all concertgoers. While you’re there, immerse yourself in the unique and interactive experiences that the House offers: customized festival swag station, immersive photo booth, relaxing backyard, and rooftop hangout. The House is open 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- M&M’S Sound Waves DJ Series – close out Summerfest every night with a dance party! The M&M’S Sound Waves DJ Series at the Aurora Pavilion highlights diverse talent with DJs spinning a new genre each night, including hip hop, country/EDM mash ups, Latin music, R&B, pop hits, 80’s retro night, and an emo music takeover!
- Miller Lite Brewhouse – check out the Brewhouse Experience featuring Bars & Recreation, located on the right side of the Miller Lite stage. You can win prizes, including Front Row Passes to the Miller Lite Oasis, by sinking a hole-in-one.
- US Mode Lounge – enhanced lounge area at the UScellular® Connection Stage, designed to foster meaningful connections and promote healthier digital habits. NEW – Digital Photo Activity – visitors can step onto a rendition of the UScellular Connection Stage and immerse themselves in an AI photo activity that will allow them to create their own digital band poster on the UScellular Connection Stage, plus much more.
- Gruber Law Offices Sportszone with Newsradio 620 WTMJ, ESPN Milwaukee, and 101.7 The Truth – The Gruber Law Offices Sportszone is the ultimate destination for sports fans! This area offers interactive daily programming, including sports demonstrations, clinics, and entertainment from the BMX Stunt Team, 4 Seasons Skate Park, and much more!
- (NEW!) The Lil Gig – the ultimate Summerfest experience for kids. The Lil Gig, happening in the Northwestern Mutual Community Park, features onstage programming with local community arts groups, magic shows, and a nightly Kids Boogie Down DJ dance party, hands-on activities, face painting, henna tattoos, hair coloring, and much more.
- Northwestern Mutual Community Park – features one of Milwaukee’s largest and most accessible playgrounds, plus daily activities for children and family-focused programming. The family services building located in the park features accessible family restrooms, nursing mothers stations, and sensory rooms.
- (NEW!) The Supermoon, presented by Black Creek Cheddar – Every good Wisconsinite knows the moon is made of cheese! This supersized 20-foot tall, illuminated moon is a photo op that can’t be missed! Come say “cheese” – and sample some too! – while enjoying shaded lakefront picnic table seating, located on the lake walk just inside the Mid Gate.
Food/Beverage Experiences:
- (NEW!) Flavor Bar with Molson Coors – located on the north end of the grounds and serving a refreshing mix of flavors featuring varieties of Vizzy Hard Seltzer, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, Simply Spiked, and Happy Thursday. Guests will enjoy seating and activities at the Flavor Bar.
- Summerfest Dockside Bar with Fiduciary Management, Inc. – the only place during Summerfest to offer a sit-down dining experience with table service. Located at the south end of the park, it features plenty of shaded outdoor seating with fireplaces and great lakeside views.
- (NEW!) The Mid Gate Market – located just inside the Mid Gate, this NEW store offers an assortment of grab n go snack items, cold sandwiches, and fest essentials for purchase.
- Keg & Cask – located on the south end of the grounds and serving a variety of craft beers from Terrapin, Hop Valley, and Leinenkugel’s, as well as craft cocktails featuring Five Trail Whiskey and Barmen Bourbon.
- Starry Sit N Sip – Mix and mingle with Starry, the new lemon-lime soda from PepsiCo, on the scenic waterfront! Relax and enjoy the selection of refreshing cocktails and mocktails while taking in the sights and sounds. Bring your fest self and snap a memorable photo in the Starry photobooth and hang out with your friends and family while grabbing a free sample of Starry.
Activities:
- Iron Joc Hole-In-One Challenge with 97.3 THE GAME – tee up three golf balls for $10 for a chance to hit a Hole-In-One. The first person to hit a Hole-In-One will win $5,000. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to First Tee – Southeast Wisconsin, a non-profit organization that works with kids and teens to build character and instill life-enhancing values through the game of golf!
- 2s FREES & 3s™ Basketball Challenge – Win Steve Novak’s Money – on Thursday, June 20 at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 21 at 1:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 27 at 3:00 p.m. fans are invited to participate in Steve Novak’s 2s, Frees & 3s, the ultimate basketball shooting competition at the Gruber Law Offices Sportszone. Participants will have two minutes to complete a 21-spot shooting course. The top four contestants will compete against Novak for the chance to win $1,000 on Friday, June 28 at 4:00 p.m. Register online at 2sfrees3s.com.
- MKE Airport Skyglider – take a ride on MKE Airport Skyglider, a true family favorite! Located high above the main walkway, this gentle ride provides passengers with a scenic view of Henry Maier Festival Park, Lake Michigan, and the entertainment below.
- Everlight Solar Wheel in the Sky – jump aboard this giant Ferris wheel located on the south end of the grounds and enjoy spectacular views of Summerfest, downtown Milwaukee, and Lake Michigan, and watch it light up the sky after sunset.
- Elizabeth “Bo” Black Family Fountain with Dean’s Dips and B93.3 – What better way to #StayCool than to stop by the “Stay Cool Zone” with Dean’s Dips and B93.3! Kids of all ages can take a “dip,” splash, and play the day away while keeping cool.
Events:
- The Summerfest Big Bang Fireworks presented by Menard’s and WISN 12 – June 20 at 9:30 p.m.
- Opening Day Fan Giveaway – The first 10,000 fans to enter Summerfest on opening day, June 20, 2024, will receive a Summerfest hat, courtesy of American Family Insurance.
- Summerfest Parade – June 21, 29 & July 5 – 3:00 p.m. – parade starts in the American Family Insurance Amphitheater forecourt area and completes a full lap of the festival grounds. Our City of Festivals will be highlighted on June 29 with appearances by Milwaukee’s ethnic and cultural events.
- Latin Music Day presented by Aurora Health Care with support from Telemundo Wisconsin – Aurora Health Care and Telemundo Wisconsin are proud to welcome De La Buena, Brenda K. Starr, Luis Figueroa for Latin Music Day at the Aurora Pavilion on Saturday, June 22. Stop by to enjoy Latin Tropical and Salsa music, starting at 2:00 p.m. and closing with a Latin DJ dance party.
- The Alumni Charity Challenge with Gruber Law Offices, Dean’s Dips, Newsradio 620 WTMJ, ESPN Milwaukee, and 101.7 The Truth – June 28 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gruber Law Offices Sportszone, with former Green Bay Phoenix, Marquette Golden Eagle, Milwaukee Panther, and Wisconsin Badger basketball stars reuniting to raise money for charity and prove who is still number one on the court. Alumni from each university will compete in the 2s, Frees & 3s shooting competition, all to support four great charitable organizations.
- Summerfest Big Win presented by Potawatomi Casino | Hotel – Join us July 6 at 4:00 p.m. at the Miller Lite Oasis Stage. Five lucky winners will have a chance to win $1 million dollars and a guaranteed share of $10,000. The first 30,000 patrons arriving between the gates on Saturday, July 6 will receive an admission ticket for Summerfest 2025 and a BIG WIN entry ticket. To participate in the BIG WIN Drawing, simply drop the perforated BIG WIN entry ticket in a specially marked bin inside the Summerfest Mid Gate between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on July 6.
- School of Rock – June 21 and 22 – over 75 bands made up of talented kids from across the world will perform throughout the grounds.
