State Rep. Mandela Barnes Endorses Marisabel Cabrera for State Assembly
Barnes values leadership and proactive representation
MILWAUKEE – Marisabel Cabrera, Democratic candidate for the 9th Assembly district, today issued the following statement regarding state Rep. Mandela Barnes‘ (D – Milwaukee) endorsement:
“It’s truly an honor to have the support of Representative Barnes, a member of the Milwaukee delegation who has served his community with distinction while working to generate a higher quality of life for those he serves. It is humbling to have a current member of the state Assembly stand alongside our campaign to bring significant advances to the 9th district knowing what’s at stake in the coming years ahead.”
Barnes said, “It comes without question that Marisabel is the right choice to represent the 9th Assembly district. Her legal background, work on the Fire and Police Commission, and her leadership in the Democratic Party demonstrate that she is best fit to push the area in a more positive direction. She will be an asset to the Milwaukee caucus and I hope to work with her in addressing issues of mutual concern and give people in Milwaukee the leadership they deserve.

Marisabel Cabrera is a private-practice immigration attorney, a member of Milwaukee’s Fire and Police Commission, chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin‘s Latino Caucus, and a candidate for Wisconsin’s 9th Assembly district in the Democratic primary election to be held August 9, 2016.
