Ryan Solen asks why Paul Ryan won’t respond to debate requests after 22 days

Mount Pleasant, WI- Ryan Solen is concerned for the people of Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District. Their current Representative, Speaker Paul Ryan, has refused to even answer Ryan Solen about debating him and letting the constituents hear their views on the issues and decide who will better represent them in 2017. If Paul Ryan won’t even respond to Ryan Solen about the most American campaign tradition who will he respond to?

Paul Ryan will respond to the Koch Brothers, billionaires who are putting millions into the 1st Congressional District on behalf of the Speaker and given him $119,322 over his career. Ryan Solen has no Super PAC’s and only accepts personal donations, an essential part of grassroots campaigning.

Paul Ryan will respond to special interest groups and obey their orders. The NRA alone has given him $36,800 since he became a Congressman and he has notably refused to pass or hear debates on sensible gun legislation. Ryan Solen would turn down NRA money. Ryan Solen will not be held to the whims of special interest groups; he wants to represent the constituents of the 1st Congressional District of Wisconsin and support the rest of the United States.

Paul Ryan will respond to Republicans. Paul Ryan has spent a limited time campaigning for reelection in Wisconsin and more time campaigning and fundraising for Republicans in other states.  Ryan Solen listens to the concerns of voters in the district so he can best represent all of them, not just one group of voters. In the House of Representatives, Ryan Solen will work with all political parties to ensure the best legislation passes.

Paul Ryan listens to so many but won’t respond to a simple debate request from his Democratic opponent. During the 2014 election Paul Ryan debated Democrat Rob Zerban twice. Now that he is the Speaker does he believe he doesn’t need to be bothered by answering questions pertaining to the constituents of the 1st Congressional District?
