Rite-Hite Submits Renderings for Proposed New Global Headquarters
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (April 23, 2020): Global industrial equipment manufacturer and supplier, Rite-Hite Holding Corporation recently submitted renderings of its proposed new global headquarters, planned for Milwaukee’s Fifth Ward. The company is still working toward the purchase of the remaining 9.3 acres of undeveloped land in Reed Street Yards, located at 3rd and Freshwater Way. The plan is to bring all Milwaukee-area Rite-Hite locations, totaling over 300 employees, together at this new campus.
The renderings are part of a package submitted earlier this week to the city of Milwaukee, and represent the next step in the project. At this time, Rite-Hite plans to build a five story headquarters building on the north side of Freshwater Way which will serve as the location for employee offices and a world class customer experience center. Across the street, on the south side of Freshwater Way, plans call for a two story building devoted to research & development, a technical training center, a live loading dock and warehouse demonstration space and the Milwaukee office of Arbon Equipment Corporation. Arbon Equipment is the sales and service arm of Rite-Hite and has over 60 offices in the US, Canada and Australia.
The two buildings will be connected by a skywalk, making it easy for employees and customers to move between them. Finally, a 450 space connected parking structure is planned to accommodate employees and visitors.

I wish the city would do more to keep parking structures away from eye level (by burying it or wrapping a building around it). It is not pleasant to walk past all that blank space.
Why are they using a pedestrian bridge?
