Representative Snodgrass Statement Regarding the Arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan

APPLETON, WI – Representative Lee Snodgrass (D-Appleton), issued the following statement about the FBI arresting Judge Hannah Dugan:

“I am alarmed and share deep concern regarding reports of the FBI arrest of a sitting judge in Milwaukee today. Since his election, President Trump and his administration have chosen to weaponize the legal system for political ends. I hold a deep commitment to protecting the independence of our judiciary and the rule of law. We must demand answers as to why the FBI took these drastic actions today in Milwaukee.

Every occupant of the United States deserves due process of law and is deserving of fair and just treatment by the government. I remain committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of everyone in Wisconsin, no matter the pressures asserted by the Trump administration.”
