Representative Shelia Stubbs Stands with Ms. Sheena Scarbrough and the Family of Sade Robinson Following the Conviction of Maxwell Anderson
MADISON, WI – Today, Representative Shelia Stubbs joined Ms. Sheena Scarbrough and the family and loved ones of Sade Robinson in court and at a press conference following the conviction of Maxwell Anderson on counts of first-degree intentional homicide or first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, arson and hiding a corpse. Representative Shelia Stubbs (D-Madison) released the following statement:
“Today it was my honor to join Ms. Sheena Scarbrough and the family and loved ones of Sade Robinson as Maxwell Anderson was found guilty of all charges. I was also able to stand beside Ms. Scarbrough and support her during a press conference after the verdict was announced.
My condolences and my prayers remain with Ms. Scarbrough and her family; no parent should have to experience the loss of a child, especially not in this way. Although we have a conviction, there is still an immense amount of suffering that this family is just now beginning to heal from.
I will continue to fight to create a Missing and Murdered African American Women and Girls Task Force in Wisconsin. I am grateful for Ms. Scarbrough’s continued support of this legislative effort and I will not rest until we get something done for these families across our state who are missing and grieving their loved ones—it is our obligation as a state to prevent the next homicide or missing person case.”
