Madison, Wis. – Today Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin released their final round of endorsements for the Spring 2024 election.

“In shaping the future of Wisconsin, it is imperative that our elected officials truly represent the values and priorities of their constituents. Across the state, the resounding message is clear: Wisconsinites value reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. They expect access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and believe they, and their friends, family, and neighbors, should be trusted and respected to make informed decisions about their own health. The candidates we endorse embrace and uphold these fundamental values,” emphasized Tanya Atkinson, President of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin.

PPAWI has placed a notable focus on candidates in Dane County for the upcoming spring election. These candidates, including seven incumbents, have been recognized for their dedication to and understanding of the importance of reproductive rights.

“These candidates understand and prioritize the importance of reproductive freedom, aligning with the core values of their constituents. These candidates will be champions for protecting, and expanding reproductive health care in Wisconsin,” said Atkinson.

In Winnebago County, PPAWI has endorsed Lakeshia Haase for the Winnebago Circuit Court Judge Branch 1. Haase would be the sole woman judge and first African American judge in the county. Haase is on the ballot for April 2nd.

“Winnebago County deserves a judiciary reflecting its diversity and values. PPAWI is honored to endorse Haase, who has shown dedication to bringing a fair and inclusive perspective to the bench,” said Atkinson.
