Saying Bye – to Sydney Hih
With today’s vote by the Common Council to not reconsider the vote we took earlier this month to lift the interim historic designation for Sydney Hih, I am hopeful that we can move forward to entertain possible new development projects at and near that location.

Proposal seeks change to allow water negotiations with Waukesha for wider service area
A Common Council resolution to be considered for immediate adoption tomorrow would amend a resolution approved earlier this month by the Council to allow negotiations with the City of Waukesha for water service to the city’s existing service area and to the area beyond its service area.

Voter ID Law injunction is appropriate
I have consistently spoken out against the state’s “Voter ID” law as being a pricey solution in search of a problem, and I wholeheartedly applaud the ruling Tuesday by Dane County Circuit Judge David Flanagan barring enforcement of the photo identification requirements of the law.
