Oktoberfest, Street Fest & German Beer Showcase
Milwaukee's First Oktoberfest of the Year! August 24 & 25, 2018
(West Allis, WI) Get ready for the annual fundraising event for the West Milwaukee Lions Club. Held in the streets surrounding Kegel’s Inn, in West Allis, WI. Organizers took a bold approach to this year’s festival and received approval to close the East End of National Avenue from 58-60th Street for the entire weekend. With room for 50 vendors on the street, and the 59th street Hofbrau Bier Garden, the extra space will allow for long-term growth of the festival, give room for local breweries to showcase their own twists on German Beers. Also new for this year, Kyle Cherek, Host of Foodie Wisconsin, will MC the stein holding contests and announce the voters choice best beer of the festival Saturday night. Look forward to his stories that connect his experience at last year’s Oktoberfest in Munich, with the German heritage in Milwaukee, Kegel’s Inn and the newly opened local street food inspired – Public Table. Admission to the festival is free and family friendly. Oktoberfest is Wunderbar!
