MILWAUKEE, Wis. (August 10, 2021) – Kegel’s Inn will be hosting its second consecutive Oktoberfest fundraiser, in partnership with the War Memorial Center, on the stunning Fitch Plaza, September 24 – 26, 2021. This year, Swarmm Events will join forces with these Milwaukee institutions and bring 10 years of event experience, and prior to 2020, hosted Milwaukee Oktoberfest celebrations at Pere Marquette Park, The Deer District, and Cathedral Square Park.

“We are excited to host this fundraising event for the War Memorial this year,” said Julian Kegel, owner and operator of Kegel’s Inn. “We’ve had great success with our new Beer Garden at the War Memorial and we want our Oktoberfest to be the grand finale to a wonderful summer along the lakefront. We couldn’t ask for better partners with Swarmm Events and the War Memorial Center to celebrate Milwaukee’s history and heritage at this spectacular outdoor space.”

The authentic German event will offer loaded brats & pretzels from Kegel’s Inn, German beers, such as Hofbrau & Hacker Pschorr & Oktoberfest beers from local breweries, will be served from their 1957 Grumman-Olson step van. The festival will also include a vendor plaza with local arts and crafts, stein hoisting competitions, Miss Oktoberfest contest, bags tournament, and live music from the best German bands in the region. Although most of the festival will take place in the north parking lot, Fitch Plaza will offer a secondary stage, seating and gorgeous views of Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Downtown skyline.

General Admission is free for all guests. Festival-goers over the age of 21 will be able to purchase a wristband to consume alcohol for $5. Early Bird VIP Tickets are available online for $45 and include 1 Liter of Beer, 1 Pretzel or Brat, VIP Lanyard, a VIP behind the scenes tour of the War Memorial Center, on-site parking and a donation to the War Memorial Center. A portion of event proceeds benefits the veterans’ services and programs of the War Memorial Center, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
