BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced the community bank will once again help kick off the annual Candy Cane Lane holiday lights display by hosting North Shore Bank Night on Friday, Nov. 24 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. During opening night, North Shore Bank will be onsite collecting donations at 95th St. between Oklahoma and Manitoba for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc. (MACC Fund). Additionally, bank employees will be on hand to collect loose change for the North Shore Bank “Change for a Cure” drive, in which the bank matches donations.

“We cherish our long-time partnership with Candy Cane Lane and the MACC Fund and we’re thrilled to be supporting the neighborhood event again this year,” said Joline Lazarski, branch manager for North Shore Bank. “We encourage everyone to come out and join us in donating to help fight childhood cancer at this safe, festive, and worthwhile celebration.”

North Shore Bank will collect coins in its annual “Change for a Cure” matching campaign from Nov. 24 through Dec. 25 at any of its branches. Location information can be found here:  https://www.northshorebank.com/locations.aspx.

Anyone who stops at a bank office will be able to count their coins for free and donate a portion or all of the funds to the MACC Fund, which uses the funds to support research at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin, UW Health Carbone Cancer Center, and Marshfield Clinic. The bank will match the donations up to $1,000.

Each season, the West Allis neighborhood bounded by Oklahoma to Montana Avenues and 92nd to 96th Streets is transformed into a festive holiday light display called Candy Cane Lane. People come from all over the Midwest to drive or stroll through the uniquely decorated neighborhood. The free event runs from Friday, Nov. 24 through Monday, Dec. 25 this year. In addition to donating at the branches listed, visitors can make a MACC Fund donation at Candy Cane Lane throughout the event and can donate online at www.candycanelanewi.com.
