NEWaukee to Share Female Leadership Stories at The Shift Speaker Series

First Event in February Set to Feature Women on Their Path to the C-Suite

Milwaukee, Wisc. January 21, 2019 — NEWaukee is proud to announce The Shift, a female-focused speaker series centered on defining and fueling women’s career trajectories. The first event in this free, public quarterly series will take place on Thursday, February 21st from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Diversatek, Inc. office located at 102 E. Keefe Ave, Milwaukee, WI.

Responding to the 2018 Milwaukee Women Inc. Advancing Women Leadership report, The Shift will explore topics around achieving gender parity in the workplace and highlight intergenerational stories of female leadership. The program will feature an opening keynote, a panel discussion, inspirational storytelling sessions and a closing solution-focused presentation. The evening will also include networking, live music, a cash bar, and complimentary appetizers while they last.

The Shift will move locations each quarter. The first program will be hosted at Milwaukee-based company Diversatek, Inc. and feature a keynote presentation from Meg Vierling, the company’s President and CEO.

“We hope The Shift will encourage attendees to explore what leadership looks like and to change what it means to them,” explains Angela Damiani, CEO of NEWaukee. “As a female CEO leading a company run by majority female staff, I am excited for this innovative platform that showcases new faces and voices of women making a true difference in their personal and professional lives.”
