MTEA announces 2021 School Board, State Superintendent endorsements
MILWAUKEE – Today, the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association announced its endorsements in three races for the MPS Board of Directors:
- District 4: Dana Kelley
- District 5: Alex Brower and Abbie Fishman (dual endorsement)
- District 7: Henry Leonard
MTEA President Amy Mizialko issued the following statement:
“MTEA has endorsed four candidates who have a deep connection to the MPS community and who have displayed a sincere desire to ensure MPS students have the opportunities they deserve. These individuals are champions of our public schools and are committed to keeping public resources in public schools where they belong. We are proud to recommend them to Milwaukee voters.”
MTEA also announced it had joined the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) in endorsing Jill Underly for State Superintendent.
