More Nights for Lites: Holiday Lites Return to Miller Valley to Celebrate the Season
Popular holiday tradition is bigger than ever, includes exclusive access to historic stables and extended hours
MillerCoors will kick off its annual holiday celebration Friday, November 30, when the “Holiday Lites” return to Miller Valley at the Milwaukee Brewery. This year’s show is the biggest yet, with extended hours and tours available on more nights than ever before. The popular light show is the largest display of its kind in the Midwest, with more than 300,000 LED lights, synchronized to an original mix of holiday music.
The Holiday Lites show takes place each Friday and Saturday during the holiday season, beginning Friday, November 30 and running through Saturday, December 22. Shows run every 20 minutes, beginning at 4:40 p.m. until 9 p.m. While there, visitors will receive a free, mini brewery tour, which begins at the Visitor Center, located at 42nd and State. The tour includes the Lite Show, a visit to the one-of-a-kind Historic Miller Caves, and beer samples in the historic Miller Brewery stables for those 21 and older.
In addition, the Visitor Center will offer special discounts and giveaways to visitors, who are also encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys-For-Tots or a non-perishable food item for Hunger Task Force. More information can be found by visiting www.millercoors.com or by calling 414-931-BEER (2337) locally or 800-944-LITE.
“Holiday Lites are a tradition that the Milwaukee community looks forward to each year, and we’re excited to offer the show on more nights this year,” said Tami Scully Garrison, community commerce and partnerships manager for MillerCoors. “Due to record-breaking attendance at last year’s shows, we’ve extended tour hours and moved the sampling portion of the tour to the historic stables. The show is appropriate for all ages so we encourage residents and visitors to bring their families to Miller Valley and enjoy the show.”
This year marks the ninth year since the Holiday Lites tradition was reinstated, which began in the 1950s and was revitalized as part of Miller Brewing Company’s 150th anniversary celebration in 2005.
