Former Bush and Obama Advisors in Milwaukee as Part of Effort to Restore Trust in Elections
“Pillars of the Community” will observe testing of City of Milwaukee election equipment on Saturday.
MILWAUKEE – Two of the country’s leading election attorneys from both sides of the political aisle will be in Milwaukee this Saturday, October 24 to observe the public testing of City of Milwaukee election equipment as part of a bipartisan effort to restore trust in elections by educating community leaders on voting administration.
Ben Ginsberg, who served as national counsel for both the George W. Bush and Mitt Romney presidential campaigns and Bob Bauer, who worked as White House Counsel to President Barack Obama and was counsel to both Obama campaigns, founded the Pillars of the Community effort in 2024, which is active in Wisconsin and six other states.
Pillars of the Community brings politically diverse community leaders together with election officials and outside experts to learn how elections are administered. Participants share what they learn within their communities, helping strengthen public understanding and confidence in the election process.
Ginsberg and Bauer will be joined at the equipment testing by nearly 20 individuals who are involved with the Wisconsin Pillars of the Community organization, which includes community activists, faith leaders, law enforcement officials, veteran advocates, business leaders and educators.
