Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee County Clerk’s Office is launching its online appointment booking platform next week.  As of Monday, December 6, 2021 customers will have the ability to book their Marriage License and Passport application appointments via the County Clerk’s website.

“We are excited to introduce this online booking system that will make it easier for our customers to schedule their appointments” said Clerk Christenson. “This new tool is part of my ongoing effort to modernize the County Clerk’s Office and utilize technology to improve upon every service we provide,” Christenson added.

By law, applicants for either Marriage License or a U.S. Passport need to appear in person to apply. The County Clerk’s Office introduced appointments last year as a Covid-19 remediation measure.

“My office continues to provide the highest level of customer service possible at the lowest cost to the taxpayers and this takes us a step further in that direction. Since we are utilizing existing technology already owned by the County, the new online appointment tool comes at no extra cost,” Christenson concluded.
