Miltown Eats, a locally-based meal kit delivery service, comes to the County on October 21.
New meal kit delivery service with vision to bring local and sustainable meal planning options comes to every Milwaukeean.
Two Wisconsin-based young entrepreneurs launch Milwaukee’s first local meal kit delivery service – Miltown Eats – allowing residents to prepare home-cooked meals quickly and easily using locally-sourced and locally-inspired meal kits.
Co-owner Jonathan Marrone started Madison’s local meal kit delivery service – Isthmus Eats – in April 2018. The service has been extremely popular and seen wide adoption within Dane County, attracting customers who like the meal kit delivery model but not the corporate feel or excessive packaging associated with the larger national services. “We found a calling for high quality, affordable meal kits that utilize the great resources that Wisconsin local farms and suppliers offer. We believe the same opportunity for high quality farm-to-table meal kits exists here in Milwaukee.”
Miltown Eats offers a variety of subscription options that fall below national competitive rates. New meal options are released each week and customers can choose their own meals. Kits include simple-to-follow recipe cards, and are hand-delivered to customers in reusable and insulated tote bags, which are collected with future deliveries, cleaned and re-used.
Miltown Eats is a member of Local First Milwaukee.
