This is a once-a-year opportunity to talk with local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farmers and learn about their growing practices and subscription options. Signing up for a CSA in the spring guarantees you boxes of great local food all growing season conveniently boxed and delivered to a pick-up site near you each week or bi-weekly. Find the farm and CSA share that’s right for you.

Community Supported Agriculture members know they are getting real value for their food dollars in their CSA boxes. In addition, they know that partnering with CSA farmers is a powerful investment in their health, community, and local economy.

Anne Steinberg, an event organizer, describes why she is a long-time CSA member: “you’ll know that you’re helping to keep small family farms in business – farmers who use sustainable growing methods and produce high quality food.  I enjoy a bounty of fresh, tasty, nutritious veggies, fruit and eggs in my CSA share – plus I enjoy knowing the farmers and hearing what is happening on the farm in the weekly newsletter.”

Jamie Ferschinger, another event organizer and enthusiastic CSA member, points out that “this year there will be more farmers to meet at the Open House, including some urban farmers who grow right in Milwaukee County.”
