CARLSBAD, California – Marquette University senior men’s golfers Patrick Adler and Max Lyons are members of the 2024-25 NCAA Division I PING All-Midwest Region Team, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America over Memorial Day Weekend.

The pair led Marquette to its sixth BIG EAST Conference championship in 2025 and an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Urbana Regional at Atkins Golf Club. It is just the fourth time that two MU players have been recognized in the same season and the first since Hunter Eichhorn and Tyler Leach were both honored in 2020.

Adler, the 2024-25 BIG EAST Player of the Year, burst onto the college golf scene this past fall with a pair of medalist honors in the Windon Memorial Classic at Conway Farms on Sept. 29-30 and the RedHawk Intercollegiate on Oct. 14-15 at Pittsburgh Field Club. His victory at Conway Farms buoyed his player of the year candidacy with a five-stroke win against a loaded tournament field with an 11-under 202. That score is tied for the third-best mark in MU program history for a 54-hole event and his 11-under is the sixth-best score-to-par for an MU player.

Adler finished the year at No. 140 in the Scoreboard NCAA Division I Men’s College Golf Rankings and his scoring average of 71.18 is the fifth-best single season mark in MU history. His -0.06 average score-to-par per round is the eighth-best mark in program history and he led MU with 129 birdies. The native of Winnetka, Illinois was the team’s best closer, posting a 69.90 final round scoring average to lead the squad.

Lyons, ranks No. 172 according to Scoreboard and was the MU leader this season with a 70.88 stroke scoring average, which is -0.35 strokes to par per round. That scoring average is the fourth-best single season mark in program history and the score versus par is fifth best. He recorded scores under par in six of the seven tournaments he played this spring.

The native of Phoenix, Arizona graduates third all-time at MU in career scoring average (72.07), score to par (0.63) and par-or-better rounds (66). Lyons recorded four top five finishes this season and led MU with 11 rounds in the 60s and 19 par-or-better rounds.

Prior to this season, only three players in Marquette history had ever recorded a season-long scoring average under par (Mike Van Sickle, Hunter Eichhorn and Oliver Farrell) and both Adler and Lyons did so through 34 rounds in 2024-25.

The Golden Eagles won five team titles in 2024-25, including three this spring.
