Marisabel Cabrera Announces Candidacy for 9th Assembly District

MILWAUKEE – Marisabel Cabrera, a private attorney in Milwaukee, today formally announced her candidacy to represent the 9th Assembly District in the Wisconsin state Assembly.
Cabrera stated, “After much consideration and conversation with community stakeholders, it has become apparent that the people of the 9th district deserve a representative who will be accountable to the voters and focus their efforts on improving the quality of life for all of our neighbors.”
“In recent years, we have seen attacks on our community coming from Madison. We need a representative who will fight back and work to restore our public schools, public safety, and bring fresh ideas to solve our greatest challenges.”

Marisabel Cabrera has a private practice focusing on immigration law. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Latin American Iberian Studies and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. She currently serves on the City of Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission and is the Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin Latino Caucus. Cabrera is a Milwaukee native and a proud resident of the Garden District.
