In recognition of Veterans Day
Statement of Common Council President Cavalier Johnson November 11, 2021
Throughout U.S. history, many millions have made the decision to serve, and these brave and courageous individuals represent the best ideals of our country as they selflessly strive to serve and protect our freedoms, and the freedoms of those around the world.
Today as we recognize Veterans Day, and honor these outstanding women and men, I join those locally and across the nation in expressing my deepest appreciation and gratitude to our veterans, and their families, for their service and sacrifice to our country.
I would encourage all residents citywide to take a moment today to reach out to a family member, friend, coworker, neighbor or other individual who has served our country and express your thanks for their sacrifice today, and every day.
