Holiday Folk Fair International to again feature city presence
The folk fair will run from (TODAY) Friday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18 inside the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park.
Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II said the City of Milwaukee will staff the 75th annual Holiday Folk Fair International this weekend with an informative exhibit focused on the city’s Sister City relationships. The folk fair will run from (TODAY) Friday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18 inside the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park.
Alderman Stamper, chair of the Sister Cities Committee, said he is looking forward to greeting visitors during the annual popular event. “I am excited and looking forward to joining other members of the Sister Cities Committee as we provide a little education and outreach while showcasing the ties between Milwaukee and our international Sister Cities partners,” he said.
Folk Fair hours are 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today (November 16), 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, November 17) and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday (November 18).

According to the event’s website: “Holiday Folk Fair International, America’s premier multicultural festival and a program of the International Institute of Wisconsin, celebrates the cultural heritage of the people living in southeastern Wisconsin.” With this year’s theme, “Celebrate the Culture of Diversity,” the fair will be honoring a community of people bound together by common ties, such as language, customs and beliefs. Attendees can explore the ways music, food, dance, and art weave together a message of welcome.
