Milwaukee, WI — (May 22, 2020) The Memorial Day holiday marks the unofficial start of the summer season. With the recent easing of some area Safer at Home restrictions, MCSO is anticipating more motorists on the road this weekend. Sheriffs deputies will be patrolling the interstates and highways, enforcing safe driving and the rules of the road.

MCSO wants the motoring public to reach their destination safely and reminds motorists to move over a lane or slow down for emergency vehicles and tow trucks, obey the laws of the road and to drive sober.

AAA experts and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to recommend that the public stay home and avoid nonessential travel to help decrease the spread of COVID-19.
